RU the 1 CD-ROM
Organization: North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention
Project Title: RU the 1 CD-ROM
Problem: As with their earlier Village Café CD-ROM, the North American Mission Board wanted a campaign that would move more people to consider taking short-term mission trips. They also wanted to capitalize on the positive feedback they received from the Village Café piece. So NAMB decided to step things up and create an entire campaign with matching collateral material, based on the idea of a road trip across North America.
Solution: Eternal Interactive produced a CD-ROM that features a 3D environment of a classic car dashboard. This trendy, retro look found widespread appeal among the three demographics of high school students, young adult/college students, and older adults. Like the Village Café, the RU-the-1 CD allows the user to explore the animated 3D environment and discover a wealth of information. Animated fly-bys over a map of North America whisk the viewer where they can see videos of mission work occurring from coast to coast. A steaming cup of java or a book hidden in the glove box or on the dashboard are animated portals to important information about short-term missions opportunities.
In addition to the CD-ROM, Eternal Interactive designed and produced a customized six-panel mailer that resembles a license plate. EI also designed four letter-sized flyers and four double-wide, retractable banner stands to create a powerful impact for conventions and other public displays.
